My Breathwork

I had no idea what Breathwork was the first time I did it at the Yoga Barn in Ubud in 2018. I was sitting in a circle with a bunch of strangers, we were holding each others hands while breathing in synchrony. Half way through, some people started crying, others laughing hysterically. While it was a pretty strange experience for a newbie like me, my curiosity for Breathwork was awakened. 


Six months later, I got another opportunity to do Breathwork. This time, there was no circle and no holding hands. Instead, I could just dive deep into myself. It was a profound experience unlike anything I had experienced before, and I was hooked from that very first time.

Over the years, my relationship with Breathwork has evolved. Initially, it was all about those intense, transformative and healing 'peak experiences'.  Nowadays, I recognize the breath as an ally in my everyday life and use different techniques for different purposes. I know that when I change my breathing, I change the information that is being sent to my brain and body. 


Breathwork is for me the ultimate biohack and self-healing practice because breathing affects every organ, system and function in the body. 

January-June 2022, I did an immersive 6 month-long Breath Guide training with Hale Center in Stockholm.
